Privacy notice

Your information should have a clear purpose.

This notice explains what DIL collects through the website, why it is used and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

When you contact DIL or submit a first-stage eligibility check, we collect the information you enter, such as your name, contact details, country of residence, applicant category, project preferences and approximate funding position. The public website does not request passport numbers, identity documents, bank statements or proof of wealth.

How we use it

We use the information to respond to enquiries, assess whether an opportunity or service is relevant, review initial property eligibility, prevent misuse of the forms and maintain an internal record of communication. Optional follow-up emails are sent only when you request them.

Who may receive it

DIL uses service providers including website hosting, database and email-delivery providers to operate the service. Information may be shared with an authorised property, finance or professional party only when it is necessary for the requested next step and an appropriate process has been explained.

Retention and security

DIL keeps information only for as long as it is needed for the enquiry, application, legal, compliance or record-keeping purpose. Access is restricted to people and providers who need it. No online system is completely risk-free, so sensitive supporting documents must not be sent through the public forms or ordinary email unless a secure process has been agreed.

Your choices and rights

You can ask DIL to correct, update or delete information where applicable, or object to certain uses. You can also cancel an optional automated follow-up using the link in that email. Legal or compliance requirements may sometimes require DIL to retain particular records.
